Default Who buys from QVC
Does anyone here buy their craft supplies from QVC, and if so what type of craft item have you purchased and what was the cost. I personally would never buy from a this show. Once I saw a candle making kit from QVC, but the price was insane. I would never buy from them, because their prices can always be beat.

I wouldn't buy things like crafting supplies from the shopping networks on television either. Most of the things they sell have higher prices than elsewhere. Some items I don't mind paying more for quality, but I don't think that craft supplies fall into that category because great products are available from other places.

Katharina,

Do you normally buy your products at a retail outlet or do you shop online? I try to shop online as that seems to be where I can get the best prices.

I buy as much online as I *possibly* can and that goes for all kinds of things in addition to craft supplies. There's a great craft store about 35 miles from me and I get there maybe a few times a year if I'm lucky, but for the most part, it's shopping online all the way for me.

I have never bought crafting supplies from QVC. I generally shop around home for them or online. I would agree it can get expensive to buy from them especially after you also figure in S&H.

The one obvious problem of shopping online is you can't 'feel' or 'touch' the things you are buying. Sometimes it's so important to know the right texture for example. But in the absence of any good retail store (their usually are some good ones!) online is the only option I guess.

I never buy my craft supplies from QVC or online at all. I like to be able to touch the items I am going to purchase. If I am making candles or soaps I want to be able to smell the scent.

For things like these and beads for making jewelry, it would be important to actually see what you're getting, yes. Things that I buy online are for more generic crafting. I buy scrapbooking things online, for instance.

Default Buying from QVC
I used to purchase from QVC but i have noticed that their prices have gone up a lot and if you are only going to use perhaps say 1 item in the kit it can be expensive.

Mind you there was an item i saw on there about 3 months' ago that i am planning to get, but just haven't got round to it, kept it in my favourites & wil get it one day - some emblishments on words which i do like.

Chat soon

Christine

well tv stuffs are sometime over exaggerate as you can tell. the effects aren't that good as they said. i mean those products might not last that long or work as good as it seems. just avoid them as their price are kinda expensive also.
